Multiple Exposure Image Bank

This is a very interesting photo as it has many different elements to it, the second exposure of the landscape has more than one element to it, as it has a church and the limbs of tree branches, I like the space and wryness, this creates the different shapes forming hide body parts, e.g. the church being the main structure of his face, the limbs of the tree, the shape of his shoulders and head, this helps to just give general outline, lacking the depth and detail needed in the background of his face since that was the other exposure.

I like this as there are three different exposures, the outline of the women on a side profile, the only definition of the woman that you can make out is the jaw line, nose, lips, neck, shoulders and forehead. The second exposure is very effective as it is very feminine and beautiful conveying depth of subject and I love the way the Blossom tree grows out the back of her head the same way her hair would be if it was up in real life. The third exposure is a very white washed, unclear blossom tree and pink tinged background, this adds different layers instead of it just being on a white background.

This image depicts an old man on a side profile shot, with the exposure of branches and limbs of a tree, the image connotes old age, the symbolism is very interesting as trees are sometimes hundreds of years old and are seen as the wisdom of nature, and like an old person they have lived long and are generally very wise, also in terms of imagery, like the bark on a tree it is very heavy lined like the wrinkles people have in old age, it's interesting how the tree looks quite sparse in terms of leaves, This could symbolise the man's in his last days and is dying like the tree.

Urban is the key theme in this piece, the top half of the boys head is just an industrial site building in process, showing the urban mindset, and how where you live shapes your perspective and identity, aka like how dark and eery the image is, at the bottom half of the image, the boys shoulders and upper body, have an exposure of the suburbs; buildings and trees, it helps to the depressing, trapped vibe of the shot.

This image has lots of different layers and components to it, for example the other exposure which is in the main subject toeing the man, has part of the image coming out into the backdrop appearing to show where the man is standing when the image is taken. I really love this effect as it gives a new found sense of life to the picture, making the birds look as though they are actually real. The light in the second exposure within the subject helps with the overall darkness of the shot adding contrast and draw your eyes in, the birds are the punctum and help to make this an interesting shot.
